Julian Leparoux rode home the winners in the first two races
of the day at Churchill Downs and just missed a win, settling for second place in
race 3. The Frenchman won on Atigun in race one and with Big Ring in the second
contest. Golden Ticket, Leparoux’s mount in the third race, couldn’t catch the
winner, 15-1 shot Skyring.
Leparoux will ride Union Rags, currently the 9-2 favorite, in
the Kentucky Derby later today.
